Choose the white version when the cabinet sits in a bright, customer-facing room and you want it to disappear into the wall rather than anchor a dark fixture line.

Yes. The BGF23W-HC operates on standard 115V/60Hz single-phase power and draws 9 amps, and it comes with a molded NEMA 5-15P plug on a 9.8 ft (3 m) three-wire cord. A general-purpose 15-amp circuit will carry it, though it is still good practice not to share that circuit with other high-draw equipment. Confirm the receptacle location falls within the cord length before the unit is set in place.

For a single-door footprint it is generous — 23 cu. ft. across four adjustable epoxy-coated wire shelves in an 84" tall cabinet that occupies only 27" of frontage. Because the cabinet builds upward rather than sideways, most bakeries, cafés and small markets find it holds a full frozen assortment in the space a chest freezer would use for far less merchandising value. A door lock is standard equipment on the BGF23W-HC, so the cabinet can stay on a self-serve floor after hours. A left hinged door is offered as a factory option, which means the swing has to be specified at the time of order — it is not something to reverse on site. Decide based on which side customers approach from and what sits next to the cabinet, since a door swinging into a wall slows both shoppers and restocking.

Less than you would expect for an 84" cabinet. The self-contained system is bottom mounted on a front sliding refrigeration unit, so the deck pulls forward for coil cleaning and service while the freezer stays in its 27" slot and the fixture line stays intact. A bottom-mounted condensation pan is designed to prevent water overflow and improve ventilation, and four 4" swivel casters with front brakes let you roll the 285 lb cabinet out when the floor behind it needs cleaning.

It slows heat gain through the door, which on a glass merchandiser is the single largest thermal weak point in the cabinet. A freezer door fights a much bigger temperature difference than a cooler door, so the third pane keeps the 1/2 HP compressor from running longer cycles and helps the glass stay clear enough that shoppers can read package faces without opening the door at all — which is the whole point of merchandising frozen product behind glass.
