D2 is the drawer count and R is the side they sit on: the BLUR48-D2R-HC has two drawers in the right-hand section, with the self-closing swing door taking the other half of the cabinet. The two drawers each take a 6" deep food pan, which covers portioned proteins, prepped vegetables or garnish for a busy shift. The door section adds two full-width shelves for cases, tubs and taller containers. In practice this is a one- or two-cook station cabinet rather than bulk storage — step up to a 60" or 72" BLUR if you need more.

The cabinet body is 30-29/32" high and the standard 4" casters add about 5", so the finished height is roughly 35-29/32". That clears a standard 36" countertop with very little to spare, and Blue Air offers 2.5" casters as an option if you need to drop the unit further into a tight opening.

The swing door is self-closing and both the door and drawer gaskets are made for quick replacement, so a torn gasket is a five-minute job rather than a service call. Wipe the gasket channels when you clean the interior, run the manual defrost from the digital control on a routine, and let the visual and audible open alarm tell you when something has not shut.
