Edlund FFC-50 NO BLADE French Fry Cutter — 50 lbs/min Base Unit Stainless Steel
Edlund FFC-50 — 50 lbs/min French Fry Cutter Base Unit (No Blade)
The Edlund FFC-50 No Blade (product code 73401) is the complete FFC-50 machine body sold without a cutting blade assembly — ideal for operators who already own an FFC-50 blade, are replacing a worn machine body, or want to select their blade size separately. The machine delivers the same 50 lbs/min throughput capacity once the blade of your choice is installed.
Choose from three blade assemblies sold separately: 3/8″ thin-cut (73101), 1/2″ standard-cut (73201), or 9/16″ steak-cut (73301). All blade assemblies are interchangeable on this machine body without tools.
Blade Not Included: This listing is for the FFC-50 machine body only. A cutting blade assembly must be purchased separately to operate the machine. Available blades: 3/8″ thin-cut (73101), 1/2″ standard-cut (73201), 9/16″ steak-cut (73301).
The Same Machine. Your Choice of Blade.
Every FFC-50 machine body shares the same features regardless of blade size installed.
50 lbs/min Throughput
Once your blade assembly is installed, the FFC-50 cuts up to 50 pounds of potatoes per minute across all three blade sizes.
Interchangeable Blade System
Blade assemblies (3/8″, 1/2″, 9/16″) swap in and out without tools — change cut profiles as your menu evolves without replacing the machine.
Removable Drum & Hopper
The cutting drum and hopper remove quickly for thorough daily cleaning — keeping the FFC-50 sanitary and NSF-compliant with minimal effort.
Water-Tight Switch
The sealed water-tight on/off switch withstands daily wash-down without risk of electrical damage — critical for busy, wet prep environments.
Optional Floor Stand
Pairs with the Edlund SS-FFC stainless-steel floor stand to free up counter space and position the cutter at an ergonomic working height.
All-Metal Construction
Heavy-gauge stainless and aluminum construction withstands the demands of commercial kitchens — no plastic components in the cutting path.
Which Blade Should I Choose? Use 3/8″ (73101) for thin shoestring fries (QSR/fast-casual), 1/2″ (73201) for the most popular standard-cut (casual dining/full-service), or 9/16″ (73301) for thick steak fries (upscale casual/gastropub). All three blades install on this machine body without tools.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this unit include a blade?
No — this listing (73401) is the FFC-50 machine body only. A cutting blade assembly must be purchased separately to operate the machine. Choose from: 3/8″ thin-cut (73101), 1/2″ standard-cut (73201), or 9/16″ steak-cut (73301). All blades install without tools.
Which blade size should I choose?
The right blade depends on your concept: 3/8″ for thin, crispy shoestring fries (quick-service / fast-casual), 1/2″ for the most popular standard-cut used in full-service and casual dining, and 9/16″ for a thick, premium steak fry (upscale casual / gastropub / steakhouse). Blades are interchangeable so you can always switch later.
Can I use my existing FFC-50 blade on this machine?
Yes. If you’re replacing a worn FFC-50 machine body, your existing 3/8″, 1/2″, or 9/16″ blade assembly will install directly on the 73401 base unit without modification. This makes 73401 the right choice for body-only replacements.
Can the FFC-50 be floor-mounted?
The FFC-50 is a countertop unit by default. Edlund’s optional SS-FFC stainless-steel floor stand elevates the machine to an ergonomic working height, frees up counter space, and makes it easier to direct cut fries into a sink or prep container.
How fast does the FFC-50 cut once a blade is installed?
With any of the three blade sizes installed, the FFC-50 cuts up to 50 pounds of potatoes per minute — the same throughput regardless of blade size.
