Atosa USA PCG18 Gas Pasta Cooker, Double Tank, (2) 9 Gal, 92,000 BTU, 31-1/2"W, SUS316 Tanks, NSF
Atosa USA PCG18 — Double Tank Gas Pasta Cooker
The PCG18 is a two-tank gas pasta cooker that puts two independent 9 gallon wells behind one 31-1/2" front, each heated by its own 46,000 BTU/hr burner for 92,000 BTU/hr total. Both tanks are SUS316 stainless steel, deep-drawn, sandblasted and electropolished, and welded to the top so there is no seam to trap starch. Nine baskets ship standard.
Key Features of the PCG18
A pasta cooker is judged on how fast water recovers after a basket drops and how easily starch washes out at the end of service. These are the details that decide both.
46,000 BTU per Tank
Each tank has a dedicated 46,000 BTU/hr burner, so one well can run a rolling boil for pasta while the other holds at a lower flame for blanching or rice.
SUS316 Deep-Drawn Tanks
The tanks are SUS316 stainless steel — the marine grade — deep-drawn with no welded corners, then sandblasted and electropolished for a surface that resists salted water and cleans down quickly.
Piezoelectric Ignition
Piezoelectric ignition lights the burner without electricity, so the cooker keeps working through a power interruption and needs no receptacle at the station.
High-Limit Safety Shut-Off
A high-limit safety shut-off cuts the gas if a tank runs dry or overheats, protecting both the equipment and the cook working beside it.
Manual Fill and 1" NPT Drain
Water comes in through an inlet pipe and manual fill valve, and each tank empties through a 1" NPT drain valve — large enough that starchy water clears fast at close.
Manual Knob Control
Control knobs adjust the flame level by hand for each tank, giving a cook direct feel over the boil rather than working around a fixed thermostat step.
Installation note: Typical clearances are 6" from combustible sides and rear and 0" from non-combustible surfaces. The unit needs a 3/4" gas connection (3/4" MIP gas inlet), a 3/4" MNPT water inlet and a 1" water outlet, and stands on 4"–6" adjustable legs. Gas manifold pressure is 4" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for LP.
Standard Basket Configuration
The PCG18 ships with nine baskets split across the two tanks, and replacements or extras are available by part number.
| Left tank | (3) 1/3 baskets and (3) 1/6 baskets |
|---|---|
| Right tank | (3) 1/6 baskets |
| 1/3 basket (accessory) | Part number R06018000023 |
| 1/6 basket, left (accessory) | Part number R06018000024 |
| 1/6 basket, right (accessory) | Part number R06018000025 |
Ideal Applications
Two tanks and nine baskets is a high-volume pasta station — and the same well cooks far more than pasta.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much water does the Atosa PCG18 hold?
The PCG18 has two tanks of 9 gallons each, 18 gallons in total, with a cooking area volume of 35 L per tank and an 8" tank depth.
How many baskets come with it?
Nine. The left tank ships with three 1/3 baskets and three 1/6 baskets, and the right tank with three 1/6 baskets. Extras are available as parts R06018000023 (1/3), R06018000024 (1/6 left) and R06018000025 (1/6 right).
Is the PCG18 available for natural gas and propane?
Yes. The PCG18-NG is configured for natural gas at 4" W.C. manifold pressure and the PCG18-LP for propane at 10" W.C. Both use a 3/4" gas connection and deliver 46,000 BTU/hr per burner.
Why SUS316 stainless for the tanks?
SUS316 is the higher corrosion-resistant grade, which matters in a well that runs salted boiling water all day. The tanks are deep-drawn with no corner welds, then sandblasted and electropolished.
What clearances and connections does installation need?
Typical clearances are 6" from combustible sides and rear and 0" from non-combustible surfaces. The unit needs a 3/4" MIP gas inlet, a 3/4" MNPT water inlet and a 1" water outlet, and its legs adjust from 4" to 6".
How does the PCG18 differ from the PCG9?
The PCG9 is the single-tank model: one 46,000 BTU/hr burner, one 9 gallon tank, a 15-3/4" wide cabinet and three baskets. The PCG18 doubles that to two tanks, 92,000 BTU/hr and nine baskets in a 31-1/2" cabinet.
